about me
I’m Jas and I’m an self-employed artist and photographer based in Wales, UK. Ever since I was little I loved the outdoors, especially seeing the animals that hung out in the garden of my family’s home growing up so that’s always been the origin of my creativity.

freelance wildlife illustrator
My love for wildlife has transformed me into becoming a self-taught wildlife artist based in the UK. My background is rooted in traditional fine art from spending years using acrylics on canvas and carving lino to make detailed prints. Today, I translate those foundational skills into the digital world where I specialise in stylized vectors with limited ranges of colours, suitable for logos, product design, merchandise and digital media.
I specialise in creating clean, vibrant work that maintains the soul of traditional painting. I enjoy the challenge of emphasising small details, from the organic flow of fur to the precise anatomy of wildlife. I can draw a large range of fauna & flora, my forte including birds and Lepidoptera (moths & butterflies). I recently completed a personal project in December illustrating a variety of winter animals including European robins, polar bears, hedgehogs & reindeer. I sell my wildlife illustrations as vibrant device wallpapers and have been commissioned for wildlife vectors.
Iām currently focused on expanding my portfolio and refining my digital technique. I love connecting with fellow creatives and art enthusiasts so I’m welcome to any new connections on my LinkedIn!
main interests
My main interests are birds and bugs but sometimes I delve into flowers and other animals! Primarily I create art digitally (Procreate & Adobe Fresco) and more rarely I get the urge to pick up a brush and paint or make a lino print in real life.
hobbies
I also have a wide range of hobbies! Bird and nature photography are a favourite past time of mine, especially in the summer. I’m also a fan of reading (my favourite books being the ‘Chronicles of Ancient Darkness’ by Michelle Paver), video games with friends and visiting theme parks (who else loves a visit to Alton Towers during scarefest?).
